YANMAR Europe (YEU) and YANMAR Norge (YNO) have agreed to transfer all commercial high speed (CHS) engines sales and after-sales activities in Norway to YEU.
The commercial marine department at YEU in The Netherlands is now responsible for all sales, after-sales and spare parts inquiries for CHS dealers in Europe, Russia and Africa. The YEU department will handle all inquiries for CHS engines in Norway with authorised dealers.
“This strategic change is the next step in the development of the commercial high speed market for YANMAR,” said Eric Tigelaar, the manager of commercial marine business unit at Yanmar Europe in The Netherlands.
“This change will contribute to further strengthening of the direct contact with our Norwegian dealers, vessel owners and expand their businesses together with YEU,” he added.
The market for marine engines is changing rapidly, partly due to increasingly strict emission regulations. YANMAR aims to bring the development and retention of the market for CHS engines into one central strategy, providing support for further growth and the opportunity to build new relationships with owners in Norway and beyond.
To support the reorganisation, Johnny Huisman of YEU has been appointed sales engineer for the CHS market.
