A container carrier from Ocean Network Express (ONE) has made its first visit to Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG’s Italian terminal in TRIESTE as part of ONE’s new service known as the “Adriatic Israel Butterfly” (AIB).
The new AIB service establishes a weekly connection, linking the North Adriatic with Egypt in one loop and connecting Egypt with Israel in the other. The ports of call include Koper, TRIESTE, Venice, Ancona, Piraeus, Alexandria, Damietta, Haifa, and Ashdod.
Stanley Smulders, ONE’s Director of Marketing and Commercial for Europe & Africa, emphasized that the AIB service underscores ONE’s commitment to delivering excellent, reliable, and extensive services that cater to their customers’ needs.
Antonio Barbara, Managing Director of HHLA PLT Italy, also expressed satisfaction with ONE’s choice of HHLA PLT as their preferred terminal in Trieste. He also highlighted that the AIB service effectively links their terminal with vital markets in the Eastern Mediterranean, such as Egypt and Israel, as well as global destinations via ONE’s hubs and will allow them to provide tailor-made, punctual, and flexible services to their customers.
