General cargo ships collided of Chios, both damaged
General cargo ships ANT and POTENTIA collided at around 1200 UTC Jun 2, 9 nm north of northwest tip of Chios island, Greece. ANT was sailing in northern direction, en route from Egypt to Reni Ukraine. POTENTIA was sailing due west, en route from Izmir to Dieppe France, so both ships collided while proceeding by crossing courses. Extent of damages unknown, both ships remain lay dead in the water near collision site with several ships, including pass-by cargo ships, around, on a standby. So it might be assumed that both ships sustained serious damages. No injures reported.
