Furuno has acquired EMRI Photo: Furuno
Furuno Electric Company has acquired Danish company EMRI with effect from 1 July 2020.
Based in Herlev, a Copenhagen suburb, EMRI is a provider of steering control systems, autopilots and track control systems. Its autopilots are today in operation on board more than 1000 vessels. EMRI also designs and manufactures joystick dynamic positioning systems with fuel saving algorithms. EMRI is an original equipment manufacturer supplier to several major industrial players with a large installed base.
