Nigeria has established a maritime ministry, aware of the growing need to establish a greater domestic shipping infrastructure.
The Marine and Blue Economy Ministry has been carved out as a separate entity to the Transportation Ministry.
“We are excited to collaborate with the Hon Ministers to drive a sustainable practices, technological advancements, and strategic partnerships that will elevate Nigeria’s standing on the global transportation stage,” stated a release from the Nigerian Shipowners Association on news of the new ministry.
