Norwegian offshore vessels player DOF has won three service contracts with Brazilian state-owned giant Petrobras.
DOF said that the contracts include work in the survey and inspection service lines. The deals represent a continuation of the services handled by DOF under contracts signed with Petrobras in 2020 and under operation since December of that year.
At least three vessels will be utilised to perform flexible pipeline, risers, and subsea equipment inspection in the Campos Basin, Santos Basin, and Espírito Santo Basin. More than 3,200 inspections are expected to be executed.
The contracts are worth more than $260m with a planned start in the fourth quarter of 2023 or the first quarter of 2024. The work is estimated to be performed within two years.
“This is an important win securing high utilisation for us in Brazil and lifting the Group backlog to above NOK 25bn ($2.3bn),” Mons S. Aase, CEO of DOF Group, said.
