Cargill takes Diana panamax bulker on charter


Greek bulker owner Diana Shipping has chartered out its 2010-built panamax
Selina to commodities giant Cargill in a deal that is expected to bring in at least $5.71m.

The New York-listed company has fixed the 75,700 dwt ship through to between September 15, 2024, and November 15, 2024.

The charter commenced on May 20, 2023, with Cargill paying 12,000 per day. The ship was previously chartered to Speed Logistics Marine at $22,000 per day.

The Semiramis Paliou-led owner of 41 bulkers and partial ownership in one ultramax vessel, last week fixed out its 2010-built kamsarmax Medusa until at least February 15, 2025 at $14,250 per day.
